Parks

City of Fulton has 5 general use parks, 4 ball field facilities, 1 soccer complex and 1 outdoor pool. Within the parks system there are 2 fishing lakes, 1 skatepark, numerous playgrounds, shelters, basketball courts, volleyball pits, horseshoe pits and an amphitheater.

 

 

 

Holts Summit has a large playground area with a paved walking trail beside the City Hall.


The YMCA of Callaway County is one of the county’s leading, not-for-profit community service organizations. As a progressive volunteer-driven association, they have been serving the community for over 13 years through programs based on Christian principles and the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

The YMCA provides a 23,000 sf indoor facility with fitness room aerobic/dance studio, gymnasium, elevated track, and multipurpose room. They also have outdoor programs at the colleges and their own Mineshaft Field.

Outdoor/Wildlife


Little Dixie Conservation Area
(Millersburg)
This area is primarily forest and grassland. Facilities/features: boat ramp, boat rentals, boat dock, picnic areas and a pavilion, nine fishing jetties, a fishing dock and Little Dixie Lake. The centerpiece of Little Dixie Lake Conservation Area is the 205-acre, manmade lake. Hiking trails (paved, woodland and interpretive) wind around the lake.


Whetstone Creek Natural Area (Williamsburg)
This area is more than half forest with grassland, savanna, cropland, old fields, prairie and wetland. Facilities/features: boat ramp, primitive camping, picnic areas, 14 fishable lakes and ponds (55 acres), Whetstone Creek Natural Area (127 acres).
